   Thank you man, it is encouraging to find a board like this where everybody seems supportive and equal-minded I always wanted a full beard and at this point (Im 29) I think I have given nature more than enough time to do its thing, so I think I should do something more proactive

   Thanks. The profile pic is about a month old, so its longer now. I'm doing the Castaway Challenge, so until July 2, 2010, I'm bound to no shaving or trimming. I was actually surprised with my growth, as I'd only had sideburns since i was 14, and didn't expect all this to come in, but I'm thankfull, and doing my best to supress peer presure to "cave and shave". Thanks again.

   Wow, I put those pics there some time ago!
   
   In no particular order, my ancestors left these parts of Europe for America:
   different parts of Germany,
   different parts of England,
   the Netherlands,
   France,
   the Basque area of Spain,
   Italy, and
   Scotland (settled in Ulster for a few generations but I'm glad they left).
